Plan Limits: What Each Plan Includes and What Happens at the Limit
Plan limits
Section titled “Plan limits”Six things in Xplorr are limited by plan: connected cloud accounts, seats, API tokens, budgets, alert rules and scheduled reports. The limits for each plan are published on the pricing page.
Nothing about a limit is hidden. When you reach one, Xplorr tells you which limit you hit, what it is, and which plan raises it.
What is limited
Section titled “What is limited”| Limit | Counts |
|---|---|
| Connected accounts | Every cloud account and cost source, including AWS, Azure, GCP, Kubernetes clusters and connectors such as GitHub or OpenAI |
| Seats | Active users in your organisation |
| API tokens | Tokens issued for the API and the MCP server |
| Budgets | Budgets across all providers |
| Alert rules | Alert rules, not counting budget alerts |
| Scheduled reports | Reports on a recurring schedule, not one-off exports |
A cost source connected on the Cost Sources page counts as a connected account, the same as a cloud account added on the Cloud Accounts page. Both create the same kind of record, so gating only one would be a way around the limit rather than a real difference.
What happens when you reach a limit
Section titled “What happens when you reach a limit”The action is refused and the reason is shown: which limit, what it is currently, and what the next plan allows. There is no silent failure and nothing is deleted.
Existing data is never affected. If you are over a limit after a plan change, what you already have keeps working and keeps collecting; you cannot add more until you are back under it or on a plan that allows it.
What is never blocked
Section titled “What is never blocked”Signing in. A seat limit never prevents an SSO login. Locking a person out of their own account because the organisation grew is the wrong failure, so the login succeeds and the limit is reported to an admin instead.
Cost collection for accounts you already connected. Reaching the connected-account limit stops you adding another; it does not stop the ones you have from syncing.
During the beta
Section titled “During the beta”Xplorr is in private beta and free while it lasts. Limits are published and shown in the console so there are no surprises when the beta ends, and an admin can see exactly where the organisation sits against each one.
Raising a limit
Section titled “Raising a limit”An admin can see current usage against every limit in Settings. To move to a plan with higher limits, or to discuss limits that do not fit how your organisation is structured, contact [email protected].
